Father complex refers to unconscious emotional patterns and behaviours stemming from an individual’s relationship with their father (or father figure) during childhood. Depending on the nature of that relationship, the father complex can manifest in various ways. The father complex can be positive or negative, but it is often associated with unresolved issues or unmet needs related to paternal figures.
